Baros leaves Galatasaray by mutual consent

The Czech Republic forward has departed the club after both parties agreed to end his contract and he is now in talks over a move back to Banik Ostrava

Milan Baros has agreed a mutual termination of his contract with Galatasaray.

The Czech Republic striker scored 20 goals in his first season with the club but has not played a single game for the first team this season.

“Galatasaray Sports Club notifies the termination of contract with the professional soccer player Milan Baros after a mutual agreement between two parties,” said a statement issued by the club.

He is now in talks with his former club Banik Ostrava about a move back to the side where he started his career.

“This afternoon we informed agent Pavel Paska, that Milan Baros terminated the contract with the Turkish football club Galatasaray SK. We immediately started negotiations with him about the conditions of the possible signing of Milan for Banik Ostrava,” said Banik Ostrava’s official website.

Baros was part of the Liverpool team that won the 2005 Champions League.
