Championship Treble: Backing goals in Hull and Blackpool plus a win for Charlton

With some unpredictable results in the Championship of late, the only thing that seems certain this evening is goals and Al Hain-Cole is backing plenty in his treble worth 93/25
Championship Treble
Birmingham City
Kick-off: 20:00 GMT
Tip: Both teams to score at 3/5 (1.60) with Marathon Bet

Michael Appleton is yet to win a game since taking over from Ian Holloway earlier this month, as Blackpool have drawn all three games under the former Portsmouth boss.

This is despite scoring five goals in those three fixtures, as the defensive lapses that were such a feature of their doomed Premier League campaign continue to haunt The Seasiders.

The hosts have hit the back of the net more often than all but five other sides in the division, but only seven teams have conceded more than their 27 goals this season.

One of these seven is tonight’s visitors Birmingham, who have kept just two clean sheets away from home, but have also only failed to hit the back of the net on one occasion on the road.

Backing both teams to score would have paid out in each of the last four matches at Bloomfield Road, and four of the visitors’ last five on the road, so seems a safe start to the treble at odds of 3/5 (1.60) with Marathon Bet this evening.

Hull City
Crystal Palace
Kick off: 19:45 GMT
Tip: Both teams to score at 63/100 (1.63) with Marathon Bet

Crystal Palace’s 14-match unbeaten streak was brought to an end at Elland Road on Saturday, as Ian Holloway’s men suffered a 2-1 defeat at the hands of Leeds.

They now face another tricky trip to Yorkshire, where they will take on a Hull side that sit just five points behind them in the league.

The Eagles are the joint top-scorers in the Championship going into this match, and have not failed to score in a single game this season.

However, they have also conceded at least once in each of their last five away matches, so there is plenty of encouragement for Steve Bruce’s men, who have hit the back of the net in 11 of their last 12 league games at the KC Stadium.

With the attack-minded Holloway in charge of Palace, expect both sides to get on the scoresheet in this match, available at 63/100 (1.63) odds.

Charlton Athletic
Peterborough United
Kick-off: 19:45 GMT
Charlton to win at 81/100 (1.81) with Marathon Bet

Charlton’s current four-match unbeaten streak is their best run of form since winning promotion to the Championship, and those three wins and a draw have put significant breathing space between themselves and the relegation zone.

Chris Powell’s men will therefore be full of confidence when they play host to Peterborough, who sit rock bottom of the league.

Posh have lost four and drawn one of the last five matches, and have failed to win 18 of their last 20 away fixtures.

Darren Ferguson’s side do not have a particularly inspiring recent history against The Addicks either, having lost the last four encounters by an aggregate scoreline of 14-4.

Expect the hosts to compound that record and see off their struggling visitors tonight, at an attractive price of 81/100 (1.81).
