thumbnail Hello,

The South Korean striker only made half a dozen appearances for the Gunners last term and could be set for a move with interest from the recently relegated Lancashire outfit

South Korean striker Park Chu-Young is wanted by Championship club Blackburn Rovers, according to British reports.

The 27-year-old managed only six appearances for Arsenal last term, after moving to London from Monaco in August last year.

The Daily Mail reports Blackburn boss Steve Kean wants to bring Park in on loan for the season, following a knee injury to new striker Leon Best, which will rule him out for six months.

Park, who is currently playing with his country at the Olympics, appears surplus to requirements at the Emirates Stadium following the off-season recruitment of Olivier Giroud and Lukas Podolski.

According to The Mirror, Kean has watched the former Monaco man during the Olympics and has been impressed by what he's seen, with the Korean scoring in their second group game against Switzerland.
