The Parisians were originally knocked back by the Serie A club for the Brazilian, seeing a €46m bid turned down, and it seemed that his future would lie at San Siro as he went on to pen a new contract.
However, the French outfit have gone back in for the defender, along with team-mate Ibrahimovic, and their lucrative offer has swayed the Rossoneri into letting go of their two most prized assets, with the Swede's agent Mino Raiola now in Paris to negotiate personal terms.
The proposed switch has garnered great debate from fans around the world. The common consensus is that a move to Ligue 1 would be a step down for Ibrahimovic and Thiago Silva, while they are being accused of putting money ahead of success if they make their expected moves.
In a recent poll by Goal.com, 59.1 per cent of readers felt both players must resist the temptation of the move to Carlo Ancelotti's side.
Nonetheless, 40.9% supported their transfer, as it would boost Milan's coffers and save the club up to €150m a year, according to president Silvio Berlusconi.
