Imprisoned Bruno dreams of thwarting Messi in 2014 World Cup final

The lawyer of the 27-year-old jailed Brazilian revealed that his client likes to daydream about denying Messi in a penalty shoot-out
Former Flamengo goalkeeper Bruno Fernandes, who has been in jail since 2010 on murder charges, is said to survive his days in prison by imagining becoming his nation's hero at the 2014 World Cup, according to his lawyer.

The 27-year-old goalkeeper has been charged with being involved in the murder of his former companion Eliza Samudio, a story which grabbed the headlines of Brazilian newspapers due to the brutality involved.

"Bruno dreams that he is the goalkeeper of the Brazilian national team at the World Cup final in Rio de Janeiro," his lawyer told reporters.

"The game ends tied at 0-0. In the shootout, he stops a penalty kick from Messi, the best player in the world, and wins the trophy for Brazil."

Bruno has never made an appearance for the Selecao.
