Bolton's South Korean winger Lee Chung-Yong close to return to full training
The South Korean winger has been on the sidelines since breaking his leg in pre-season but could still play a part this campaign as he recovers from the injury
Bolton's South Korean winger Lee Chung-Yong may yet return to action before the end of the season after boss Owen Coyle revealed he's close to joining the squad in full training. The 23-year-old has been on the sidelines ever since breaking his leg in pre-season but Coyle said his recovery was coming along.
"Chung-Yong Lee continues to do some work on the grass. In a few weeks' time, hopefully he can join in and train with ourselves," Coyle said on the club's website.
"From there we will be able to see if he can make anything before the end of the season."
Coyle admitted Lee, along with injured US international Stuart Holden, would be vital parts of the squad for next term.
"The most important thing for those two players is that we have them fit and ready for next season. To buy those players it would cost you £10m-£15m such is their quality," he said.
Lee's progress means he could also be available for South Korea's fourth round 2014 World Cup qualifying campaign which begins in June.
