Nigeria will be hoping to return to winning ways when they tackle Group F’s whipping boys, Iraq at the Al Rashid Stadium in Dubai on Friday.

The Golden Eaglets survived a Scandinavian scare when they soared back to life after a two-goal deficit to play out a 3-3- draw against a highly tactically Swedish team in their last game, while their Asian  counterparts lost their second consecutive game at the championship4-1 against the Mexicans.

Iraq, though, have no chance to progress to the knock-out round of their debut appearance at the Fifa World U17s after losing their first two games by a wide margi. They will be out to restore some pride as they will be hoping to return with their heads raised high.

Garba Manu’s team on their own part have four points and a win against the Lion Cubs of Mesopotamia on Friday will ensure they face Group E’s runners up, in the last 16 of the competition.

Top scorer, Isaac Success is not expected to take part in this tie after securing a hamstring injury against Sweden in their last game but Manu can bank on the likes of Taiwo Awoniyi and Chidera Ezeh to crush the Iraqis.

This encounter is expected to witness lots of goals based on the fact that the Africans have put in nine goals against their opponents in this competition. Aside from this, the 2013 African U17 runners-up have scored 27 goals in their last seven competitive games and have let in nine goals in the process.

Nigeria are expected to be in their traditional all-greeen attire will Iraq will be dressed in all white jerseys.
