That's all from me Harry Slavin. Thanks for joining me for tonight's action in Malaga. Until next time, goodbye!
FULL-TIME: MALAGA 0-1 BARCELONA. In the end, a fortunate victory for the champions. Malaga had a couple of fantastic chances late on to pick up a point but in the end the Blaugrana have held on to make it six point from six in their opening La Liga fixtures.
90' + 2'
NEYMAR!! Sanchez finds the Brazilian in the box and after setting himself, his shot is deflected inches over the bar. Still the game isn't quite over.
WHAT A CHANCE FOR MALAGA!!! Gamez, who should be off the park, swings in an inviting cross and Fernandez gets on the end of it to send a header into the corner - only for Victor Valdes to pull off a tremendous stop. The keeper then has to be alert to keep out Tissone on the rebound.
Jesus Gamez is very lucky to stay on the park as he leans in and looks to make contact with Neymar's forehead with his own. The Brazilian doesn't go down to his credit, but Gamez should still be off.
An important tackle from Mascherano prevents Roque Santa Cruz from collecting the ball on the edge of the Barca area and creating a late opportunity. The home fans wanted a free kick but there wasn't even any protest from the Malaga forward.
Yellow Card Daniel Alves
Dani Alves is now in the book for hauling back Eliseu as the Malaga winger tries to start a counterattack.
Final sub for Barca now as Sergio Roberto comes on for Iniesta.
Neymar looks hungry for his first La Liga strike this evening. The hunger gets the better of him on this occasion though as he fires over the bar from outside the area.
Neymar takes the free kick and produces a fine stop from Caballero, forcing the keeper into a full length diving stop as he tries to bend the ball into the far corner.
Sergio Sanchez cuts down Neymar as he steams down on goal. It really should be a second booking for the centre half. The referee is obviously in a generous mood though and refrains from issuing a second yellow.
Last throw of the dice from Bernd Schuster as he makes his final two substitutions. Just quarter of an hour left the home side to find an equaliser.
Great defending from Sergio Sanchez. He doesn't give Cesc Fabregas an inch as the former Arsenal man looks to slither past him into the Malaga box.
Yellow Card Sergi Darder
Neymar gets on the ball for the first time but his time in possession is curtailed by a fairly industrial tackle from Darder. Neymar is back on his feet and the Malaga player is in the book.
That was a big let off for Barcelona! Olinga does scuff the shot but he did well to get it away in the circumstances. Still he'll feel he should have brought his side level.
POST!! Eliseu is inches away from leveling it for the hosts! A great mvoe from Malaga sees Roque Santa Cruz burst into the area and take the ball around Valdes. The angle is tight and so he play it back to the sub who controls it and shoots but can only find the base of the right hand post.
Antunes stops Alves's cross with his wrist and Barcelona have a dangerous free kick right on the edge of the area on the left hand side.
On comes Neymar. The Brazilian is on for the final 30 minutes in place of the anonymous Pedro.
Yellow Card Alexis Sánchez
Now Alexis Sanchez is cautioned for remonstrating to vigorously with the linesman after not getting a corner. It's all a bit immature at the moment.
Yellow Card Sergio Sánchez
Sergio Sanchez is in the book. He went shoulder to shoulder with Fabregas and gave away the foul. It looks like the card was shown for dissent though rather than the foul.
CROSSBAR!! Xavi swings in a dangerous free kick and Gerard Pique stoops to divert the ball goalwards with his back. The ball loops up and has Wilfredo Caballero beaten but it clips the bar as it goes just over.
Yellow Card Jesús Gámez
Jesus Gamez is the first player in the book this evening as he comes in clumsily from behind on Sanchez.
Malaga are really struggling to get out of their own half in this second period. Barcelona are definitely looking for a second here, and quickly.
Dani Alves gets forward and tries to emulate his fellow right-back Adriano by testing the Malaga keeper from range. Caballero is equal to Alves's dipping effort though on this occasion.
Another header on target from Fabregas but another comfortable stop for Caballero. The entire Barcelona bench has subsequently been told to go and warm up by Martino.
Angeleri brings down Xavi in front of goal just outside the area. The Spanish midfielder brushes himself down and takes the set piece himself, but their isn't enough pace on the effort to trouble Caballero as he stops the shot comfortably.
Barca start where they left off and continue to press forward, Alex Song is in unfamiliar territory as he finds himself with the ball at his feet in the area. His lack of experience in the situation is all to apparent though as he puts his cross straight out of play.
We are back up and running and we do indeed have a subtitution. Adriano is off at the break after opening the scoring with his final kick. Dani Alves is on in his place.
Malaga finally join Barcelona back on the park and we are about to get back underway in the second half. It looks like Barca are making a sub too.
It wasn't vintage Barca in that first half by any means, but 'Tata' will be pleased his side are currently on top. They've still got another forty-five to negotiate though.
HALF-TIME MALAGA 0-1 BARCELONA. Gerardo Martino's side take the lead right on the stroke of half-time. It's cruel on a Malaga side who haven't had too much to deal with so far. It will be a struggle to get back into this game now though for the hosts.
Assist Alexis Sánchez
GOOOAAALLL!!! GREAT STRIKE FROM ADRIANO!!! Sanchez lays the ball back for the full-back and shaping up as if he's going to dink in a cross, he curls an effort into the far corner. Caballero will be disappointed he's been caught out by that, but it was well struck.
A driving run from Fabregas sees him burst into the area but he's stopped in his tracks by a great covering tackle from Marcos Angeleri.
Not on this occasion they can't. The initial corner is cleared by Song and when the ball is eventually floated back into the area, Sergi Darder skews his volley wide of the target.
Malaga win a rare corner five minutes before the break. Can they snatch a surprise lead?
Fabregas nods across goal and find Alexis Sanchez steaming in. He meets the ball with his head but is denied by a quality point-blank stop. The flag was up for offside, but Caballero wasn't to know.
Two low crosses in as many minutes from Fabregas and Sanchez but both are hacked clear. The movement isn't there in the middle for Martino's side at the moment.
Barcelona are continuing to have the vast majority of possession, as you'd expect, but without Messi they're struggling for that clinical touch to their attacking play. Malaga will be very pleased so far.
Ignacio Camacho breaths a sigh of relief as his wild hack falls straight to Adriano but the full-back is unable to fashion a chance.
Free kick for Malaga and it's a smart stop from Victor Valdes that keeps the scores level as he gets down to his near post to keep out Vitorino Antunes clever effort.
Decent footwork from Iniesta as he jinks passed a couple of tackles before sending a pretty tame effort into the gloves of Caballero.
Roque Santa Cruz is bundled over by Song as he tries to hold up play. It could be a tough old evening for the former Man City man.
Halfway through the opening period then and we're still awaiting the first goal. It's not quite the goal-fest the Blaugrana side treated us to last weekend.
You can't help but feel Messi would have gobbled that chance up. As it is, he's absent, and we are still goalless.
Big chance for Pedro! The Spanish international is fed in by a delicious Cesc Fabregas pass, but he cannot get the ball fully under control and Caballero is able to smother the loose ball.
Adriano sends in a cross and Fabregas connects with it, but his header is easily caught by Caballero.
Barcelona are beginning to push now and impose themselves on Malaga. The champions are pushing higher and higher up the pitch and already the hosts are struggling to cope.
Almost a chance for Sanchez! Fabregas plays a lovely disguised pass into Iniesta and his cross is attacked by the Chilean, but he can't get there ahead of the defender.
Another offside call, this time against Malaga. Santa Cruz is flagged but appears to be in his own half when the ball was played. Poor decision.
They could come from Alexis Sanchez. But not on this occasion anyway. He latches onto Fabregas's throughball and tries to round the keeper but the chance is curtailed by the linesman's flag.
It will be interesting to see where the goals come from this evening for the visitors. It is well documented how much Barcelona rely on Messi for goals, and with Neymar on the bench, who is going to step on in this first half?
Martino's side are looking to get on the front foot early but Malaga look like they have a plan to exploit their opponents. Already the home side have launched a counterattack down the right and they don't look afraid to get numbers forward.
First chance for Barca. Xavi chips in the first corner of the night and Alex Song is able to meet it with his head, but it bounces into the ground and safely into the arms of Caballero.
First effort of the evening and it's come from the hosts as Tissone lashes over from just outside the area.
We are up and running in Malaga!
The sides are out and we are about to get underway here.
MALAGA: (4-3-3) Caballero; J.Gamez, Angeleri, Sergio Sanchez, Antunes; Darder, Camacho, Tissone; Pawlowski, Santa Cruz, Fabrice.
BARCELONA: (4-3-3) Valdes; Adriano, Pique, Mascherano, Alba; Xavi, Song, Iniesta; Sanchez, Fabregas, Pedro.
We aren't far from kick off so let's get some team news up before we get underway.
The Argentine talisman is out for this evening's game after being withdrawn after just 45-minutes in the opening leg of their Supercup clash with Atletico Madrid on Wednesday. Despite this though, there is still no starting berth for Neymar.
After an emphatic start to the campaign last weekend thanks to the dismantling of Levante, Gerardo Martino's side are up against Malaga at the Estadio La Rosaleda tonight. They'll be doing so however, without Lionel Messi.
Evening folks and a warm welcome to you all for tonight's La Liga clash between Barcelona and Malaga. I'm Harry Slavin and I'll be with you to take you through all of tonight's action.
