Ghana’s Under-20 team will face yet another tough test at the Fifa U20 World Cup in Turkey as they come up against USA.

The match which will be played in Kayseri is very important for both sides as the dreams for quarter-finals spots heighten.

The Black Satellites are yet to win a match after losing 3-1 to France and 1-0 to Spain in the first two matches in Group A.

However, USA have managed to pick a point out of the two matches after recovering from the defeat to Spain to record a 1-1 draw with France.

The Americans know a win against the 2009 champions will put them in a far better position to pick one of the four slots available to the four best third-placed sides.

But their opponents also share the same dream making the match a very close one to call. Ghana’s reputation at the championship will be dealt a huge blow if they fail to win since they hold the record as Africa’s only side to have lifted the title.

Interestingly, the coach who led Ghana to the 2009 glory, Sellas Tetteh is the same person handling this current team.

Ghana have several players who have had great campaigns in the just ended European season including Inter Milan’s Alfred Duncan who helped Livorno to gain promotion to the Serie A and Greuther Furth’s left-back, Baba Abdul Rahman. Juventus’ Richmond Boakye-Yiadom who also helped Sassuolo to gain promotion to the Italian top fight will be a huge weapon in Ghana’s attack.

Hector Joya of Mexican top-flight side, Santos Laguna and Jose Villarreal as well as Cody Cropper are the players who are USA’s main actors.
