Rarely troubled in the first half and could do nothing about Dzeko's opener or Negredo's well-placed header. Otherwise showed good hands and was commanding in his box.
Malky Mackay described him as a bargain and he could well be right on this form. Had Dzeko in his pocket for the first 45 and distributed accurately.
Worked well with Caulker and made a couple of telling blocks. Won much of what was tossed into the box too and held a good line throughout. Could have done better for Negredo's goal.
Had a tough ask up against Navas but stuck to his job admirably - giving the Spaniard much less joy than he had against Newcastle.
Another part of a solid back four. Timed his tackles well and didn't venture too far forward so as to leave his defensive partners exposed.
Looked to support Campbell when he could and showed some nice touches around the City box. His finest moment arrived in the second half as he twisted and turned his way past Clichy to cross accurately for the first goal.
A monstrous defensive performance from the Chilean as he hared about in front of his defence disrupting anything City tried to do through the middle. Set the foundations for a fine defensive display.
Had Cardiff's first chance, whipping a free kick just past the near post and tried to keep Zabaleta at bay from the left wing. Delivered a wonderful corner for Cardiff's second goal - has a fine left foot.
Got stuck into the game from the off and although he isn't the finest technician, did enough to keep Cardiff compact and competitive. Arrived right on cue to slam home the rebound to bring Cardiff level.
As direct as ever and offered a reliable outlet from the right flank. Kept the ball really well and did a diligent job for his team.
Was a constant thorn in the side of Lescott and Garcia, nipping in behind on a number of occasions but was denied by Hart. Still, stuck to his game, despite a number of knocks and bruises, and arrived at the back post twice in the late stages to head and shoulder the ball past Hart. A really impressive performance.
Had such a good game up until Cardiff's second. Denied Campbell twice with fantastic point-blank saves but let himself down flapping at a deep corner that Campbell converted.
Couldn't get forward as much as he usually does and was caught ball-watching for the equaliser as Campbell ghosted past him, before losing the striker again for the third. Bad day at the office.
Looks fine when the ball is in front of him but is losing his pace and only just recovered to prevent Campbell getting a clean shot off in the first 45. Was a toe away from preventing the Cardiff goal but couldn't get there.
Wasn't overly troubled by Bellamy and moved forward down his flank regularly. Given a horrid time by Kim in the build-up to the equaliser, as he was twisted inside out.
Bit of a mixed bag from the giant Ivorian. He moved from one great ball over the defence to a succession of misplaced passes. Still, his physicality often helped get his team out of sticky situations and he won his fair share of tackles.
Dovetails nicely with Toure but had a much tougher game with Medel and Gunnarsson buzzing around him. Kept it simple for the most part but didn't keep possession as well as might be expected. Subbed for Milner.
Started off the left but had licence to roam and he was often the source of City's best moments. Delivered a brilliant cross to Dzeko that was just cut out by Caulker but linked well with Aguero. Provided a fine cross for Negredo's goal.
Struggled initially up against Taylor before finding a bit more joy as the game went on. His crossing wasn't as accurate as it has been, while his link-up play with Zabaleta was less incisive and he was subbed on the 55th minute.
Not a centre-back and it showed as he was too easily caught out of position for Campbell's main chance before struggling for the equaliser. Needed to take command in the air from set pieces but went missing.
Didn't have things go his way in the first period and was often well marshaled by Caulker and Turner but took his chance brilliantly right after half time, rifling a 25-yarder into the top corner. Replaced by Negredo with 23 minutes to play.
Showed some delightful touches all game and really looks back to the sort of form that saw City win the title in 2011-12. His link-up play with Silva is wonderful to watch and his flick to Dzeko for the opener sublime, but he seemed a little reluctant to shoot when in the box.
Introduced for Navas on the 55th minute and had a notable chance with 15 minutes to go but saw his low drive blocked. For the length of time he was on, didn't have a great impact on proceedings.
Came on for Fernandinho with 11 minutes to play and held his shape well. Couldn't help his team get back into the game.
Came on in the 67th minute for Dzeko and grabbed himself a goal with a marvellous header into the top corner. Service was in short supply though.
