T. Müller 12'
A. Tymoshchuk 79'
I've been Simon Harrison, and I hope you have enjoyed Goal.com's LIVE coverage of Bayern Munich's 2-0 victory against Freiburg, I'll see you again next time!
Goals from Muller and Tymoshchuk have wrapped up the three points which Bayern needed to extend their lead at the top of the Bundesliga pile, but the home side were extremely unfortunate not to be awarded a penalty of their own in the second half.
That's it! The full time whistle sounds in a cauldron of unease, to end a game which will undoubtedly be subject of criticism from disappointed Freiburg fans.
90' + 3'
Yellow Card Daniel Caligiuri
90' + 3'
Ribery goes through on goal, and had the option to either centre the ball to Pizarro, take on the keeper, or shoot. Instead, he decides to seemingly have a mess around with the ball, and wastes the opportunity.
90' + 1'
Muller is found in an offside position, as he burst through on goal for his second of the night, but was incredulous with the linesman's decision to raise his flag. Freiburg have much more to feel aggrieved about, that's for certain!
Freis could have scored with his first touch of the ball, but passes a tame effort straight at Neuer, that was an awful effort! I think I could have done better.
Neither side are making any particular headway in the dying stages of this game, I think mentally the match is over!
The fighting spirit of the home side is waning, but they've definitely earned respect with this battling display, especially after being denied what looked to be a stonewall penalty.
Bayern are content to retain possession, as they look set to move 11 points clear at the top of the Bundesliga.
A Bundesliga debut for Lais, as the hosts seemingly resign themselves to defeat, despite making a commendable effort to get the equaliser.
Assist Philipp Lahm
Goal Anatoliy Tymoshchuk
GOAL! Tymoshchuk rounds Baumann to put the game beyond doubt!
Ribery holds his face, after being kicked in the waist by his marker, thankfully the referee ignores his 'injury'.
Rafinha gives the ball away with his first touch to Hegenstad, but the Norwegian returns the favour and gives him the ball back again. Things are getting a little nervy.
Yellow Card Manuel Neuer
After an intricate set-up which looks to be fresh off the training ground, Hegenstad blasts the free-kick wildly over the bar. Really wasteful, that was.
Caligiuri wins a free-kick on the edge of the Bayern area, this could be extremely dangerous..
CHANCE! Pizarro has a great chance to grab a second for Bayern, but blasts a close-range effort strike at Baumann!
Dante clears yet again, to prevent a dangerous Freiburg attack! He could well pick up the man of the match award at this rate!
Kroos goes down heavily, after a fair but strong lunge by Rosenthal. He looks to have picked up a dead leg, but he should be fine to continue.
Freiburg are staging a revival in the past ten minutes, they're causing the visitors real problems, even veterans like Lahm are falling victim to mistakes - caused by his hard-working opponents.
GOOD SAVE NEUER! The German international gets down well with a strong left arm to block a powerful Kruse effort!
Ooooh! Schmid tries the spectacular, attempting an overhead kick inside the Bayern box! He doesn't really get the power on it which he was looking for and the ball loops into the air, bounces, and Neuer gathers it easily.
Ribery wants a penalty, but the referee says nothing doing. Schuster appeared to have stuck a leg out, by the Frenchman made more of the Freiburg midfielder's challenge than there was.
Freiburg go close to a potential equaliser, as a sly ball was played directly through the corridor of uncertainy. Flum couldn't quite get on the end of it though. In the aftermath, Pizarro replaces Gomez for the leading side.
Dante stops a dangerous Freiburg attack in its tracks yet again! The Brazilian defender has been instrumental for Bayern so far, without him, who knows what the score could be?
Half chance for Muller! The goalscorer arrows a strike across goal, from around 25 yards, but sees his effort swing wildly away from Baumann's besieged net.
Bayern slow the pace of the game again, and the home players might be pleased to have a bit of a rest, by all accounts. It's been a flurry of action since the referee blew his whistle for the start of the second half.
Schuster blocks a Gomez cross at his own peril, catching his unmentionables in the process. The resulting corner is cleared easily, before Ribery tests Baumann from the edge of the 18-yard box.
After ghosting away from two Bayern defenders and exchanging a one-two with Schmid, Kruse fires a shot high and wide of Neuer's net. The Freiburg forward has performed admirably tonight, in all fairness.
Dante goes close from a corner again! The ball is then pumped back into the box, half-cleared by Baumann, finds the feet of Ribery - but the Frenchman blasts narrowly wide of Freiburg's post.
Bayern win a corner as Rosenthal deflects a Lahm cross out of play, after patient build up play from the visitors.
Hedenstad drives dangerously into Bayern's half, weaving in between several players, but he loses control of the ball on the edge of the area! Great run by the Norwegian.
And the second half is underway!
The teams are taking to the field amidst jeers and whistles.. the home crowd are not happy whatsoever!
Freiburg may struggle to deal with the extra man of Bayern in the second half, as they've done a lot of pressing and attempted to counter-attack whenever possible. There's every chance that the home side could be dead on their feet in the last twenty minutes!
The half-time whistle is blown, and is met with boos and whistles of the home crowd, in protest to the referee's decisions. The Freiburg faithful feel aggrieved over the decisions to award Bayern a spot-kick, and also to let a clear handball by Martinez go unpunished. I can certainly sympathise with them!
BAR! Dante almost completes a perfect first-half performance, rising highest to challenge for a free-kick delivery, but his header thunks against the angle of Baumann's crossbar! Unlucky!
Xherdan Shaqiri has been brilliant for the away side in this first half. He's been at the centre of much of Bayern's play, and Freiburg have thus far been unable to deal with him.
Gomez has his head in his hands! And rightly so! After being presented with the chance to shoot, under little pressure at the edge of the 18-yard box, the striker fails to really test Baumann.
Ooooh, teasing ball from Ribery! The Frenchman tries to pick out Gomez, and flashes the ball across Freiburg's six-yard line, but his cross whistles through everyone!
Freiburg's players wildly claim for handball, as they surround the referee, but nothing has been given! The ball struck Javi Martinez' arm as the Spaniard tried to control the ball. Very harsh on Freiburg there, that should have been a penalty.
Oooh, half chance for Schuster! The German wriggles away from his marker and fires a left footed effort at Neuer's goal, on the turn. Not too far over!
The corners are beginning to stack up for Bayern, but Baumann has thus far dealt with them well - saving one header and punching two deliveries clear of his area.
GREAT SAVE! Baumann saves a Gomez header onto the post, saving well, but it counts for nothing as the referee decides to give the home side a free-kick for non-existent pushing.
Dante comes to Bayern's aid yet again, stemming a Freiburg burst down the left. The Brazilian has started this match in great style!
Bayern are happy to retain possession, as the home side look to be short on ideas when they have the ball - the lack of an eleventh man being the culprit behind their struggle, perhaps.
Freiburg are misplacing the ball far too often tonight, if they continue to gift Bayern the ball unnecessarily, this could be a cricket score!
Dante does well to rob Kruse of the ball, as Freiburg looked to break quickly.
Bayern are looking to be getting into their stride now, playing some great one-touch football and retaining the ball far better than the hosts.
Half chance for Bayern! Gomez tries to direct a cross inside Baumann's near post, after Shaqiri spread the play well for the visitors.
Despite being a man down, the home side press on bravely, enjoying a good spell in possession before Schmid miscontrols and allows the ball to roll through to Neuer.
With only 20 minutes on the clock, this is going to be a tough game for Freiburg, who couldn't be in a worse situation. A goal down and a man down, despite offering some resistance in the opening exchanges.
Hang on, it's not a penalty after all! Diagne walks, but the referee awards a free-kick on the edge of the home side's box.
Red Card Fallou Diagne
Another penalty for Bayern, and Diagne gets a red card! Shaqiri looked to be through on goal, but the Freiburg centre-back tugged this Swiss midfielder down!
OOOH CLOSE! From Freiburg's woeful free-kick, Bayern break quickly, as Ribery hares his way into the opposition half. The Frenchman tries to curl an effort inside Baumann's left post, but the ball flies anticlimactically out of play.
Freiburg win a free-kick right on the edge of Bayern's area, as Shaqiri is penalised for challenging with a high foot. This could be a great chance for the home side.
Freiburg claim for a penalty of their own, after Rosenthal looked to fall over the outstretched leg of Dante. The referee chose wisely and waved away the home side's pleas.
Penalty Goal Thomas Müller
GOOOAL! The penalty is converted by Thomas Muller, coolly slotting the ball to Baumann's right!
PENALTY! It goes Bayern's way, as Sorg is penalised for handball, after Ribery lofted the ball onto the arm of the Freiburg defender!
CLOSE! Baumann had to be quick of his line to clear a cheeky through ball from the away side, after nice intricate build up play on the edge of Freiburg's box by the visitors.
CHANCE! Schuster forces Neuer into his first save of the game, however the strike is at a comfortable height and the lanky German keeper catches it easily.
After a switch in play from Freiburg's left flank to their right, a back post cross is headed away by Philip Lahm.
Bayern's deadly duo of David Alaba and Franck Ribery link up for the first time in the game, but after work down the left, the cross aimed for Gomez finds nobody whatsoever.
The first corner of the game goes to Bayern, as Caligiuru heads the ball behind. Baumann manages to punch away at the second time of asking.
The away side settle first, and are happy to retain possession, even if it means playing it around between Dante and Badstuber.
Mario Gomez is stopped in his tracks by the offside flag, as the recently returned striker looks to start tonight's game with a bang.
And we are underway!
We're moments away from kick-off now. Both teams had have picked up an identical number of points from their last fives games, which could make for a close affair!
