Sahin has proven to be the creative hub of this side, and he highlights that with a neat over the top ball towards Henrik Mkhitaryan, who has been flagged offside.

Foul by Andre-Pierre Gignac, who has appeared more isolated since Dortmund took control of this game after half-time. He fouls Sebastien Kehl.
  • 61'
Dortmund queuing up in the Marseille boxx. As much as six players in and around the area, as Lewandowski's shot is blocked. Marseille hanging on by the skin of their teeth.
  • 59'
Lemina in a bit of pain in the middle of the park after blocking a shot. The former Lorient midfielder should be OK as we pass the hour mark at Stade Velodrome.

  • 45' + 4'
    HALF-TIME: Marseille 1-1 Dortmund.
  • 45' + 4'
Last chance of the half here - Dortmund break with speed, as Reus attempt to get away an effort. Diawara reads the game well, and clears the ball for a corner. We're almost up with the four minutes.
  • 45' + 3'
Khalifa - who has been in and out of this game, ever since he hit the crossbar before Diawara's goal - has a bit ofspace to utilise. Defended well by Sokratis.
  • 45' + 2'

  • 39'
Marseille don't appear to be unperturbed by Payet's red card - even if the Frenchman kicked the corner flag on his way off - but they are forced to defend, as we approach the interval.
  • 38'
THAUVIN! On target, but it was a good save by Weidenfeller. A fine bit of skill by the France U20 World Cup winner to dribble past his marker, and cut in before producing a tame shot.
  • 36'
But play continues, and Marseille are forced on the defensive. Blaszczykowski turns on the pace on the right wing, and his delivery is well saved by Mandanda.
  • 35'
Well, you can imagine how that's gone down at the Stade Velodrome. A harsh decision to say the least, with an incredulous Payet forced to depart the field. Can OM hold on with ten men?
  • 34'

Lovely bit of skill from Steve Mandanda, who bamboozles Lewandowski and gets his goal-kick away. One for the cameras! Dortmund beginning to open up their opponents, Mkhitaryan, however, is flagged offside.
  • 24'
Dortmund need to utilise the space afforded to them through the middle, with the flanks pretty clogged up. Grosskreutz enjoying influence on the right, but can't make a decent impact with his cross.
  • 24'
Hoping up this one. Reus races forward, but can't find a team-mate in the Marseille penalty box. And OM threaten to do the same, as Gignac's lay-off towards Khalifa is easily played back by Erik Durm.
  • 23'
Mkhitaryan concedes a free-kick after bringing Dimitri Payet down. The German side appear to be flagging in attack, a stark contrast from their blistering start.
  • 21'
WOAH! Almost a goal there for Marseille! A misunderstanding by Sokratis and Weindenfeller, who comes racing off his line With pressure applied by Gignac, the German goalkeeper eventually picks up the ball.
  • 20'
Over in Naples, it remains Napoli 0-0 Arsenal. As it stands, Arsenal would top the group, and would be joined by their Italian counterparts.
  • 19'
NO! Chance for Dortmund to break away, and they do - with aplomb. Fantastic pace shown by Grosskreutz on the right, but his pass forward - with only Lucas Mendes back - is poor, and Reus cannot reach in time.
  • 18'
Free-kick to Marseille after Thauvin wins a free-kick. Delivered in by Payet once more, but headed away - only to the path of Gignac. Marseille threatening extensively now, with the ball firmly in their grip.
  • 17'
Marseille are a rejuvenated side here. Much of the play is now in the Dortmund half, with Lewandowski flagged offside moments ago. Sebastien Kehl is reprimanded by the referee.
  • 15'
Pretty poor defending from the Champions League finalists, with Diawara able to latch onto Khalifa's unsuccessful attempt against the crossbar, to head into the empty net.

  • 11'
Corner wasted by Reus, as OM regroup at the back. Sebastien Kehl is reprimanded for a challenge on Benjamin Mendy. The hosts can't even get a look in at the moment.

  • 9'
Dortmund are sitting comfortably in possession, as Sahin attempts a strike from distance - which sails over the bar. They have the lead that will take them into the last 16, for now. Over in Naples, Napoli are drawing 0-0 with Arsenal.
  • 7'
Mendes is OK to continue - it appears captain Steve Mandanda's knee caught him in the face in the build-up to the goal. Marseille down to ten for now, as Lemina fouls Lewandowski.
  • 6'
Brief stoppage in play, arising from that Lewandowski goal. Lucas Mendes has gone down, clutching in face and is spitting blood. Was there an elbow? The goal stands nonetheless.
  • 5'
Jose Anigo is fuming on the bench. Superb ball by Erik Durm as Lewnadowski beats Mendes with ease. Not the start Marseille had envisaged.
  • 4'
    Assist Erik Durm
  • 4'
    Goal Robert Lewandowski

UNDERWAY IN MARSEILLE! Croatian referee Marijo Strahonja signals start of play. Marseille attack from right to left as they attempt to salvage some pride in this group. Dortmund, are looking for qualification. Away we go!
  • The Champions League anthem comes and goes - and there's a fantastic tribute to the late Nelson Mandela on one of the stands. The former South African president and anti-apartheid icon passed away in Johannesburg last week. UEFA has confirmed that there will be a tribute before each of this week's fixtures.
  • There's about 3,000 Dortmund fans inside the impressive Stade Velodrome. It's a fantastic atmosphere. Let's hope for a game to reflect that.
  • TEAM NEWS: Interim boss Jose Anigo has rung the changes, with Saber Khalifa coming in what is a 4-4-2, a first for OM this season. Rod Fanni returns from injury, with Benjamin Mendy also handed a call. For Dortmund, Klopp has placed faith in 18-year-old Marian Sarr, who starts. Nuri Sahin makes a welcome return.
  • Dortmund: Weidenfeller, Sarr, Papastathopoulos, Durm, Kehl, Reus, Błaszczykowski, Şahin, Grosskreutz, Lewandowski, Mkhitaryan SUBS:Langerak, Kirch, Piszczek, Günter, Hofmann, Aubameyang, Schieber.
  • Marseille: Mandanda, Mendes, Diawara, Mendy, Fanni, Cheyrou, Lemina, Payet, Gignac, Thauvin, Khalifa SUBS: Samba, Abdallah, Morel, Aloe, Imbula, Jordan Ayew, Bangoura.
  • Two years ago, on December 6th - Marseille faced Dortmund, then at the bottom of the Champions League group in a decider. Klopp's side succumbed thanks to a late winner from Mathieu Valbuena. The tables have turned since, with BVB now on the brink.
  • Meanwhile, Borussia Dortmund travel to France, with just one competitive win in the country. Klopp's men can still qualify with a win, though there is a likely scenario in which Dortmund win tonight, and if Napoli go the same way - all three sides, including Arsenal will finish on 12 points. Plenty of permutations on the horizon, but BVB need to get the job done.
  • In comes former coach, and sporting director Jose Anigo, who will take charge of the side until Christmas, at least. His last European encounter at OM was the UEFA Cup final in 2004, when Marseille lost 2-0 to Rafa Benitez's Valencia. Indeed, Jurgen Klopp has stated that the coaching change will only spur on tonight's hosts.
  • Since the 2-0 defeat to Arsenal at the Emirates on matchday five, Marseille's woeful form has seen them suffer defeats to Lille and Nantes in Ligue 1 - a streak which saw OM part company with coach Elie Baup, who lead them to second place last year.
  • Olympique de Marseille have nothing to play for - but pride. But they still can have an impact on the destination of group F. The Ligue 1 side have lost all five games to date, and are on the verge of becoming the most notable side, as well as the first former champions to finish the group stage on 0 points.
  • Good evening and welcome to live coverage of matchday six from the Champions League. Tonight sees last year's finalists Borussia Dortmund travel to Ligue 1 giants Olympique de Marseille, with plenty at stake for both sides.
