The Nigerians fell to their hosts’ superior firepower to crash out of the tournament early
The first leg ended goalless in Enugu a fortnight ago meaning that Rangers needed at least a score draw to go through.
However, it was the Angolans who looked better prepared that won the day. They scored early through Camara in the 16th minute before Dario added another in the 32nd to go into the break with a two-goal cushion.
Rangers fought back in the second half as new boy Sunday Mba scored in the 56th minute. The Flying Antelopes kept fighting to get another goal but were finally undone when they conceeded a penalty which Dario converted in the 74th minute.
Rangers will now go down to the Confederation Cup as they remain the only Nigerian team in Caf competition, three months after Nigeria won the Africa Cup of Nations with six players from the local league in their ranks.
