Sydney goalkeeper Danny Vukovic rescued a seagull during his side's clash with Melbourne City on Wednesday.

Numerous birds entered the pitch during this year's FFA Cup final at the AAMI Park, with Vukovic deciding to take action in the 58th minute.

The 31-year-old caused a pause in play while he carried off a seagull which had been flattened by a pass from one of his Sydney team-mates.
The bird was tended to off the pitch and made a full recovery a few minutes later.

The good deed brought Vukovic no luck, however as a goal from Tim Cahill was enough to earn Melbourne City the victory.
