'From another planet' - Football world salutes Real Madrid fan Nadal as he secures 'La Decima' at French Open

Rafa Nadal has followed in the footsteps of his heroes at Real Madrid by securing ‘La Decima’ of his own at the French Open.

Nadal proved that once again on Sunday as he swept aside Stan Wawrinka in straight sets.

With a 10th title in Paris under his belt, the exploits of a remarkable sporting icon have been saluted by those operating in football circles.

Madrid striker Alvaro Morata, who is being heavily linked with a move to Manchester United, led the tributes to Nadal by suggesting that his fellow countryman is “from another planet”.

Sergio Ramos saluted the achievement as "great", Santi Cazorla called his compatriot "the best in history", a view supported by Alvaro Arbeloa, while Barcelona defender Gerard Pique considers Nadal to be a "king on Earth".

Parece de otro planeta pero no lo es... es español y un ejemplo para todos!!! Grande Rafa!!!
