FA Cup final: Pahang's path to Bukit Jalil

For the second straight year, Pahang are in the FA Cup final and this time they will be hoping for a different outcome this time around as they go in search of their first FA Cup triumph since 2014 when they beat Felda United in the final

v ATM (March 4)

The Elephants did just about enough to beat FAM League side ATM FA on home territory, coming away with a 2-1 win. Norhshahrul Idlan Talaha got his first ever goal for Pahang to give the home side the lead at half time. However, ATM struck back through Mohd Zaironi in the 66th minute but that wasn't to last as Safuwan Baharudin came up with the goal to give Pahang the win in this second round encounter

v Kedah (March 17)

This third round encounter was a repeat of the cup final last year and this time Pahang exacted revenge by knocking out the cup holders. Mohamadou Sumareh's effort in the added time of the first half was all it took for Pahang to reach the quarter finals as they came out with a 1-0 win.

v Johor Darul Ta'zim (April 6 & 20)

Arguably the tie of the quarterfinal, challengers in the Super League facing up to each other in the cup. A goal-less draw in the first leg in Kuantan set up an enticing second leg in Johor Bahru. Johor Darul Ta'zim could do little in the return fixture as Dollah Salleh played the perfect counter attacking game with Patrick Cruz grabbing a memorable hattrick..

v PKNP FC (June 23 & July 1)

Pahang went into the semi-final match up against PKNP as the clear favourites but they were made to sweat for it after Abu Bakar Fadzim's side claimed a 1-1 draw in Kuantan. However the return of the spine of Dollah's team for the second leg in Ipoh saw The Elephants winning 1-2 to reach their second successive final.
