Racism definitely has no place in football but can it be curbed among the fans?

Kenya international Michael Olunga was a victim of racist abuse following his substitution in Girona’s 1-0 defeat to Sevilla on Sunday.

The 23-year-old forward who has scored three goals in nine La Liga games this season, was replaced by Anthony Lozano in the 70th minute.

Pablo Sarabia scored the only goal in the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan Stadium as Sevilla registered a 1-0 win. But the reaction that followed the forward’s substitution on Twitter has left football enthusiasts stunned.
