Why I joined Las Palmas - Emmanuel Emenike

Emmanuel Emenike has revealed why he joined Spanish top-flight side, Las Palmas till the end of the season.

The ex-Nigeria international sealed a loan move to the Estadio Gran Canaria outfit on transfer deadline day from Olympiacos.

The striker who had a successful medical on Friday stated that the 'lot' he heard about the club encouraged him to join.

"I came to this club because I heard a lot about Las Palmas, and I knew the team because I watch them play,” Emenike told club website.

"I have not played for a while because of an injury, but now I feel good.

“It is a very demanding league but I trust in myself and I want to bring out the best in me to Las Palmas. I came to this team because I knew the club and they spoke to me very well about the club ".

"I have many experiences in football, but I always adapt to what the coach asks."

On whether he could debut on Monday against Malaga, he said: "it depends on the coach, I feel good to play."

"I am a forward, I feel comfortable in that position but it could vary according to the needs of the team.

"I know goals will come, I do not want to say an exact number but that they are the maximum possible."
