On Malaysia Cup final between JDT and Kedah (November 4):

"If you look at the players they have, I think JDT should be the champions because they have everything. They have the best players, the best facilities and the best boss. They should win."

On Malaysia U23's chances in the 2018 AFC U-23 Championship in January:

"That will be difficult because they have been drawn against Middle-Eastern sides in their group. The teams are not just tactically-sound, they're also physically strong. But then again it will be hard in all groups, so I hope our team can give them a fight, or make one or two upsets, and try to finish in the top two [in the group]. But don't hope for too much."

On Malaysia U19's chances in the 2018 AFC U-19 Championship qualification from Oct 31 to Nov 6:

"I've watched them play on television, and they've been doing quite well and got the results recently, so they should do well. But they have one or two strong opponents, so they should aim for a runners up finish in the group."
