Aston Villa winger Albert Adomah is eyeing a return to Ghana's national set-up in light of an exceptional season at club level.
The 30-year-old has been left in the wilderness since playing against Canada in a friendly fixture in 2015.
He made his international debut six years ago, coming on as a second-half substitute in a defeat to Brazil in an exhibition game.
"I was really proud when I got my first call-up for my national team, Ghana," Adomah, who went on to play at the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations and the 2014 Fifa World Cup tournaments, told his club's official YouTube channel.
"I played against Brazil. I think it's every player's dream to play against one of the best teams in the world.
"I had 20 minutes against Brazil and it was great. I remember playing against Ronaldino, Pato, Neymar.
"I exchanged jerseys with Pato and Ronaldinho but didn’t keep any of the jerseys, instead gave them away to a friend and my brother.
"But if I get called up again, I just have to take my opportunity."
According to reports, Ghana coach James Kwesi Appiah is keeping tabs on Adomah owing to his outstanding form this season.
The attacker has netted 11 goals in 20 English Championship games involving 17 starts so far for Villa.
He joined the Claret and Blue in summer 2016 from then Premier League side Middlesbrough, having also had stints with lower sides Harrow Borough, Barnet and Bristol City.
