Finally, the duck has been broken. Shorn of a trophy for 8 consecutive seasons, it was the longest draught under Arsene Wenger's rein. When the final whistle blew, there were a mixed sense of emotion ringing around the stadium from the red and white half. It was that of jubilation and relief.

Central to the magnificent comeback to secure the 2014 FA Cup was a certain Welshman. Aaron Ramsey had started the 2013/14 season like a train on fire and could just as easily pipped Luis Suarez to the Player of The Year award, had he not got injured. Thankfully for Arsenal though, he recovered just in time to play a pivotal role in winning the final.

Ramsey's finish was instinctive and has the air of confidence of someone who knows that he's in the purple patch of his work. The accuracy to place that shot between Allan McGregor and his near post is worth plenty of YouTube hits alone. He was there to provide the drive and energy in midfield to spur The Gunners on.

Ramsey's constantly demanded the ball at every opportunity. If the chance to drive forward isn't there, he would look for the pass. The former, one of his great arsenal which forces the opponent on the back foot. He also dares to try the Hollywood balls and more often than not, found his target.

At the end, Hull just didn't have the legs to match Arsenal. Ramsey epitomises that with his incredible stamina. The league season will be looked back as a matter of what ifs but for now, Arsenal have earned themselves a pat on the back for delivering a trophy to the long suffering fans.
