thumbnail Hello,

The 28-year-old, who has been capped 111 times for his country, has featured only sparingly for Arsenal this season, but will give his "very best" to be on the plane to Brazil

Germany and Arsenal striker Lukas Podolski insists he does not fear losing his place in the national team for the World Cup and will do everything possible to make the final 23-man squad.

A torn hamstring sidelined the 28-year-old from the end of August until the end of December, restricting the former FC Koln attacker to just five Premier League starts for the Gunners this season.

With the World Cup in Brazil just three months away, Podolski knows he is running out of time to prove he deserves a place in Joachim Low's squad, though hopes his experience, having been capped 111 times, will stand in his favour.
