The former Olympique de Marseille and France full-back believes that, despite his fleeting appearances for Paris Saint-Germain, the youngster deserves to go to the World Cup
The Manchester United and Manchester City left-backs have a wealth of international experience and it would be a surprise if either were left out of Didier Deschamps's squad for the tournament in Brazil.
Although Digne is far from securing a first-team place at Paris Saint-Germain - with Maxwell his competition at Parc des Prince - the former Les Bleus star believes that the 20-year-old is a superior player in comparison to the French veterans.
"I can see Lucas Digne going to the World Cup without any doubt, even if he plays only a game or two for PSG," Di Meco told RMC.
"Regarding his supposed defensive problems, compared to so-called phenomenons such as Evra or Clichy that we have, Digne is a monster of a player.
"With Maxwell, he will play a match or two. When you play for PSG, that is enough."
Digne has featured eight times for PSG in Ligue 1 so far in 2013-14.
