Bojan Hodak, coach of Johor Darul Ta’zim, is clearly happy with his team after they recorded three wins out of three friendly matches.
The three matches were warm-up games before the Malaysia Cup kicks-off and Hodak was pleased to see that his players, especially those who used to warm the bench during MSL, performed really well.
Hodak also admitted that the eight players that are currently with the national team have to fight for their place when they return from national duty.
According to Harian Metro, Hodak said “It is not necessary that those who are with the national team will be in our starting eleven. They must earn their place in the first eleven as well after the reserve players were showing excellent performances.”
“The three wins that we recorded has given (a) positive impact for the players to keep performing well and will motivate and give them confidence ahead of the Malaysia Cup,” added Hodak.
In their latest friendly match the MSL Champion defeated the Premier League champions PDRM, who are under Azman Adnan’s management.
JDT also defeated their brother side JDT II 2-1; as well as defeating Singaporean club Warriors FC 3-0.
After having a great season in the League, JDT are being picked by many to win the Malaysia Cup as well, despite being put in a tough group together with Kelantan, ATM and Penang.
