Coach of Johor Darul Ta’zim, Bojan Hodak, believes that their success in winning the Malaysia Super League title could stir his players on in their hunt for the Malaysia Cup trophy.

Bojan also expressed his dream of seeing JDT making it all the way into the final and facing his former club Kelantan, despite both teams being placed in the same group.

According to Harian Metro, Bojan said “There is no pressure on JDT because we have achieved our target, which is to qualify for the AFC Cup. Furthermore, we also have a chance to compete in the Asia Champions League. I also dream of a final between us and Kelantan in the Malaysia Cup."

Last year, Kelantan were drawn together with Pahang in the same group, but ended up meeting again in the final. However, Bojan realizes that ATM and Penang will be tough competitors to beat and he insisted that JDT cannot lose too many points in the group stage games.

Commenting on the 1-1 draw with Kelantan in a charity match, Hodak admitted that all his players are in the process are getting back to full fitness after resting for two weeks.

Luciano Figueroa and Harris Harun missed the game as Luciano is still in Argentina while Haris was with the Singaporean national team.

“We still have about a month to prepare and I am trying to arrange a few friendlies before the Malaysia Cup campaign kicks off,” added Bojan.
