Khairul Fahmi prepared for penalties in Malaysia Cup final

Kelantan goalkeeper, Khairul Fahmi Che Mat, predicts that the 2013 Malaysia Cup final against Pahang will go down to penalties.

Khairul Fahmi Che Mat, also known as Apek, expects the match between Kelantan and Pahang to conclude with a penalty shootout.

He is ready to face that possibility by being mentally and physically prepared.

According to Bernama, Apek said: "We have to be ready to fight for more than 90 minutes.

"I am also preparing myself for the match to be dragged into the penalty shootout."

Apek also pointed out that his defenders must watch out for Pahang’s attackers and midfielders, especially the attacking trio of Matias Conti, Azamuddin Akil and R. Gopinathan.

"Hence, we will train as much as we can in the last few days with the strategy arranged by Bojan Hodak for the game," he added.

Khairul Fahmi will be without the protection one of his best defenders, Obinna Nwaneri, as the import player picked up two yellow cards in the tournament and is suspended for the final.

Kelantan will face Pahang in 2013 Malaysia Cup final after knocking out ATM in a thrilling semi-final last week.
