Kelantan midfielder, Zairo Annuar, believes that experience will be the key against Pahang and he aims to play well to repay Bojan Hodak's faith in him.
Zairo Annuar wants to repay Bojan Hodak’s faith in him by winning this year’s Malaysia Cup final when Kelantan face Pahang this Sunday.
Zairo, who used to be benchwarmer earlier this season, has formed a formidable midfield trio alongside Shakir Shaari and captain Badhri Radzi, and now, he is tipped once again to play in the final after an excellent semi-final performance.
According to Utusan, Zairo said: "If I am given the chance, I promise that I will give my full concentration and my best performance throughout the match.
"This is my best chance to repay Bojan’s faith in me so I will give my best and do whatever it takes for us to win."
Zairo is also counting on his experience to help Kelantan as he said that the achievement in winning the FA Cup earlier this year would help them to prepare both mentally and physically for the final against Pahang.
"Most of the Kelantan players have more experience playing in a final compared to Pahang and we have more quality players who can play under immense pressure, not forgetting that we also have strong fans who have been supporting us no matter what," he added.
However, Zairo also admitted that they cannot take Pahang easily as the Elephants also have quality players at their disposal.
