Dollah Salleh may have to play the 2013 Malaysia Cup final against Kelantan without their top scorer Matias Conti who picked up an injury last Saturday against Sarawak.
Pahang stirker, Matias Conti, is still not 100 per cent after picking up a heel injury in the 2013 Malaysia Cup semifinal second leg against Sarawak last Saturday.
Elephants’ head coach Dollah Salleh, however, remains hopeful that the big Argentinean will recover on time to face Kelantan on November 3.
The 50-year-old told Bernama: “Based on the medical check-up, Conti's injury is not that serious.
“Initially we thought the injury would require at least two weeks to heal but I am going to test him tomorrow.”
Seeing that Conti may not recover on time, Dollah has an alternative plan.
“In the event that Conti is not available, I have a replacement striker who I feel can take over his role,” he added.
“I am also glad that all my players are available since none have been suspended.”
Pahang and defending Malaysia Cup champions Kelantan will go head to head in Shah Alam this Sunday and the Tok Gajah will have a mountain to climb after the Red Warriors are in top form, dumping out Johor Darul Takzim and ATM on their way to the final.
