thumbnail Hello,

Goal Malaysia runs through the best performers in the fifth round of Malaysian top-flight action

Sarawak's impressive custodian Sani Kamsani continued his fine form with yet another clean sheet against Perak.

Terengganu's pillar of defensive strength Vincent Bikana keeps his place in our lineup as his team kept a clean sheet against Pahang. He won most of the battles in the air, and was smart in positioning himself to keep Matias Conti and Dickson Nwakaeme at bay. Partnering the Cameroonian is JDT's vice captain Baihakki Khaizan who put in an inspirational performance at the heart of their defence, scoring a goal as well. Experienced fullback Ramesh Lai's sturdy performance stopped Perak from breaking the defence down, as he stood strong defensively while newlywed Nik Shahrul showed no signs of complacency as he performed admirably to inspire a clean sheet for Kelantan.

In the abscence of marquee signing Pablo Aimar, Hariss Harun shouldered much more responsibility and his good work was duly rewarded with a goal. Kelantan's captain marvel Badhri Radzi once again led his team to a victory and also notched a goal. Also back in the good books is talented but fiery midfielder Ismail Faruqi who scored the goal that helped his team to beat Pahang, but it was his all-round performance against the in-from duo of Hafiz and Azidan which earns him plaudits. Making his debut in our lineup is LionsXII's Firdaus Kasman who complimented Isa Halim in the middle for Fandi Ahmad's side, and he was instrumental in ensuring that ATM's Bruno Martelotto couldn't fully utilise his playmaking skills.

Evergreen JDT striker Amri Yahyah helped the Southern Tigers bury the team he previously spent 12 years with, as he produced a number of assists, while another Amri - Khairul Amri of the LionsXII, sealed three precious away points at the death for his team, scoring the winning goal against ATM at Selayang to stop their drop in the league.
