Indonesia has announced its team for the Suzuki Cup with the country’s top scorer Bambang included. The squad have flown out to Malaysia though changes may be made up until Friday
The Indonesia roster for the Suzuki Cup 2012 has been confirmed, with prolific striker Bambang Pamungkas included.
Bambang was originally not in the squad following KPSI’s order for all players in their league not to join up with Nil Maizar’s side.
However, Bambang, who is his country's leading scorer, has defied orders to join Indonesia AFF’s squad, and is most likely to feature for Nil’s side having flown with the squad on Wednesday morning to Kuala Lumpur.
Indonesia's 22-man roster may still see some changes despite having flown out, with Raphael Maitimo awaiting citizenship clearance and given until Friday before his participation is decided.
"We are bringing only these 22 players. Raphael Maitimo is not on the list because of an issue with the citizenship administration that has not finished,” Indonesia national team manager Habil Marati said.
"If Raphael joins, then one player will be scratched off the squad because we are limited to 22 players," Habil added.
Meanwhile Indonesia's main keeper Samsidar is on the waiting list, after joining ISL club Mitra Kukar.
