thumbnail Hello,

Jose Mourinho's side announced the signing of the Spain international on Thursday, with the star joining in a reported £30 million deal, but will he inspire the club to glory?

Chelsea announced the signing of Cesc Fabregas from Barcelona on Thursday, with the former Arsenal midfielder joining the club in a reported £30m deal.

The Spain international will bring a wealth of experience to the Blues' midfield, having won the World Cup, two European Championships, the FA Cup and one La Liga title during his glittering career to date.

With his penchant for chipping in goals as well as providing assists – Fabregas scored eight and laid on a further 16 for Barca in La Liga last season – the 27-year-old is likely to be deployed in the hole at Stamford Bridge.

And with a supporting cast of Oscar, Eden Hazard, Willian and Nemanja Matic around him, many fans will be hoping his signing will kick-start a tilt at the Premier League title.

But will Fabregas be enough? Having sold David Luiz to PSG and with a misfiring strike force comprising Fernando Torres, Samuel Eto'o and Demba Ba, some may feel that more investment is needed.

But what do you think? Can Fabregas lead Chelsea to the Premier League title, or will Mourinho need to splash some more cash in order to get his “little horse” galloping in 2014-15?

So, do you think Fabregas is the missing piece of the puzzle? Will he elevate Chelsea to the next level and help them win the Premier League next season?
