thumbnail Hello,

The PSG boss has confessed that there were numerous "technical" flaws in his side's performance at the Stade de France on Saturday night, but he was just happy to have prevailed

Laurent Blanc says he does not care that Paris Saint-Germain got "a lot of things wrong" in their 2-1 triumph over Olympique Lyonnais - as lifting the Coupe de la Ligue was ultimately all that mattered.

The PSG boss was under intense pressure going into the game at the Stade de France on account of his side's Champions League quarter-final exit at the hands of Chelsea.

Questions were also being asked of the likes of Edinson Cavani, who responded in fine fashion with a first-half double, so Blanc was a relieved man that his troops had held off the fightback Lyon launched after Alexandre Lacazette's solo strike shortly after half-time.

"It was a cup final; the main thing was to win," the former centre-half told France 3. "We must congratulate the players. The victory was difficult to obtain, but the players gave everything.

"They were rewarded tonight, they showed another side [of themselves] and a different state of mind.

"On a technical level, there are a lot of things wrong, but the victory was sufficient."

PSG are now on the verge of completing a double as they are currently 10 points clear at the top of Ligue 1.
