The Algerian midfielder claims that the Reds have joined the race with Lyon, Lille and Marseille for his signature this summer, but admits nothing concrete has happened as yet
The winger is highly rated in Ligue 1 and has attracted interest from the likes of Lyon, Lille and Marseille.
The 22-year-old was part of the Algeria side that comfortably beat Niger 3-0 in a friendly on Saturday and told reporters after the game: “Certainly, my agent is in talks with some clubs, particularly in France, but there is still nothing concrete.
"There is also Liverpool, who have initiated discussions with my agent, but at the risk of repeating myself, everything is in the discussion stage, no more.”
With Sochaux narrowly avoiding relegation, Boudebouz is believed to want away from the club for a new challenge, and Liverpool see him as the ideal and cost-effective candidate to liven up their midfield.
