The 52-year-old coach heaped praise on his side after their win on Sunday, as they leapfrogged Montpellier into first spot in the Ligue 1 table
Javier Pastore and Jeremy Menez gave the hosts a first-half lead before Guillaume Hoarau and Nene scored late on to secure all three points at the Parc des Princes.
"We played some really beautiful football and we had a lot of scoring chances," Ancelotti told reporters after the game.
"The only downside was that we lost our shape at the beginning of each half.
"It was a great day for us though, with neither Montpellier nor Lille getting a win."
Ancelotti then heaped praise on Hoarau, who scored his fourth goal in nine league appearances.
"Hoarau is improving his form and his confidence match by match. He is setting a good example for the rest of the squad.
"There was a lot of pressure before this match and the lad responded well."
PSG currently top the Ligue 1 table, one point ahead of Montpellier, who could only draw with Dijon on Saturday.
