Palmeiras president Arnaldo Tirone has revealed that he has not given up on signing Werder Bremen's Wesley.
It was reported earlier this month that the two clubs had agreed a €6 million fee for the midfielder but Bremen sought certain financial guarantees which their Brazilian rivals failed to satisfy.
However, Tirone has now revealed that he is still trying to secure funds from outside investors in order to make the deal happen.
"I do not want a loan for the first instalment [of the transfer fee]," he told Lancenet. "I want a partner who is willing to buy a stake in the player."
Bremen signed Wesley from Santos for €7.5m in 2010, but the twice-capped Brazil international has failed to settle in Germany.
