The Croatian defender was forced off just 18 minutes into Saturday's tournament decider against Quevily, but fears of a serious foot injury have been allayed by coach Remi Garde
The 22-year-old had to leave the Stade de France on a stretcher after only 18 minutes of play against the third-tier outfit, with initial fears suggesting that the stopper had sustained a potential Achilles injury.
However, Lyon coach Remi Garde told Eurosport after the Coupe de France final that a fracture is out of the question, but the player will still undergo a routine scan to fully analyse the condition of his tendon.
He said: "He felt a sharp pain in his foot, but I do not know anymore for now. Apparently, he did not fracture anything but he will now have a CT scan."
Croatia international Lovren, who is hoping to feature for his country at Euro 2012, has made 30 appearances in all competitions this season for Lyon, who are fifth in the Ligue 1 standings.
