Spain clinched their third international tournament triumph in a row on Sunday night by comprehensively defeating Italy in the Euro 2012 final.

After going into the tournament as defending champions and slight favourites ahead of the likes of Germany and Netherlands, Vicente del Bosque's side saved their best for last, producing a majestic performance to see off the Azzurri and seal their place in infamy.

Following their historic triumph, La Roja jetted back to their homeland to take in the carnival atmosphere on the streets of Madrid.
