Deco visits Mongolia as second leg of Tiger Street Football kicks off

The former Barcelona playmaker landed in Ulaanbaatar the other day to continue his observation on the second leg of the prestigious tournament
Tiger Street Football, the revolutionary street football tournament organized by world acclaimed Tiger Beer, was graced by the presence of football star and Portuguese legend Mr. Anderson Luis de Souza, better known as Deco, as he arrived in Ulaanbaatar.

The first round of Tiger Street Football 2014 was held successfully in Cambodia and the two Mongolian teams MNS and Blue Wolves currently sit at the fourth and sixth positions of the league table.

The second leg of the tournament is scheduled to begin in Mongolia on the 29th of August,  and Deco himself will be present to continue his observation. At the end of the tournament, he will choose a total of six players who demonstrate the best skills and impress him the most.

These players will form Deco’s Star Selection, who will have the ultimate opportunity to show off their skills against Team Deco in an exhibition game in Singapore on 6 September 2014.
Speaking at a press conference upon his arrival in Mongolia, Deco enthused on how the Tiger Street Football concept seems to be promoting the right values within the beautiful game.

"Football is the beautiful game. But sometimes I can see that beauty fading.  There are too many times where defensive play or tactics take over.  Who wants 0-0 bore draws?

I want to show the world that with the fans help, football can be more beautiful than ever. This is what Tiger Street Football is all about in 2014, and I am very excited to be able to join Tiger Beer in this celebration of Asian football flair."

The last and final round will be held on 6 September in Singapore, where the eight teams will battle for the ultimate Grand Champion prize USD40,000.
