Southeast Asia Player of the Week
David Williams
AGE 25
PLAYS FOR Melbourne Heart

Goal Australia Chief Editor Iain Strachan: "Having come off the bench to score the winning goal for Heart twice in succession, Williams started in place of the injured Harry Kewell away to Wellington Phoenix and did not disappoint, netting a hat-trick as the Melbourne Heart romped to a 5-0 win. His first goal, Heart's second of the game, was a perfectly timed effort from distance which left Phoenix goalkeeper Glen Moss stranded. Williams exchanged a one-two with Massimo Murdocca to finish off a fast counterattack by scoring his second and Heart's third. The Australian marquee forward bagged his third with a well-taken curling finish from distance, and has now scored five goals in the last three matches."

Congratulations to David Williams, Goal's 11th Southeast Asia Player of the Week winner!

Honourable Mentions

Safuwan Baharudin - LionsXII

Goal Singapore Senior Editor Teng Kiat: "The defender's fine form continued as he was once again a colossus as the LionsXII overturned an early 1-0 deficit to emerge 2-1 winners away at ATM FA. Kept dangerman Marlon James quiet along with defensive partner Afiq Yunos, with a particular last-ditch tackle on the striker in the 42nd minute standing out. Safuwan was everywhere on the pitch as well, popping up with headers in the box and saw a terrific 70-yard strike tipped on to the bar by the goalkeeper."

Fakhrurrazi - Semen Padang FC

Goal Indonesia's Eric Noveanto: "Played brilliantly and successfully led his team to claim a 2-1 victory over hosts Persib Bandung. It was the first Semen Padang away victory in thse Indonesia Super League this season. Despite conceding a goal in the last minute, overall he put on a good performance and made a number of crucial saves during the game."

Duong Van Pho - HAGL

Goal Vietnam Chief Editor Erick Bui: "The centreback had an unforgettable game when his team visited Quang Nam. Van Pho did not just play well against the home side's attackers but also scored a double in the first-half. His early brace was the key to HAGL's eventual 5-3 away win."
