The Thai international is taking the opportunity to learn during his time at the Spanish club, which he hopes will translate into a contract with a Europea nclub
While the Muangthong United striker and Thailand international is an unknown factor in Spain, he has enjoyed the feeling being a part of the European elite.
"It's a great opportunity to be next to players and stars you see every week on TV in my country," Teerasil said upon arrival. "It's a very fast, strong and great-quality game. Someday I hope to play in Europe."
The 24-year-old has made friends with Atletico first-team players Cata Diaz, Diego Costa and Arda Turan. His arrival has not gone unnoticed by coach "Cholo" Simeone. who was admittedly skeptical about the club's new "signing."
"He comes to be with us at this time, then we will evaluate how to proceed," the Argentine told local reporters. "We've seen him in some games, he plays well, technically it's an interesting guy and we'll see if he can prove what we have seen in the videos."
Thibaut Courtois, another of Teerasil's colleagues, confesses that has barely had time to meet the striker: "I've seen little in training, but I've been told he's a good player."
His three days at Atletico have been intense, taking part in training sessions as well as watching Atletico's 2-0 victory against Zaragoza.
The TPL's MVP watched the match from the team tribune and later went to the locker room along with sporting director Jose Luis Perez Caminero to congratulate his teammates.
With Atletico in second place on the Liga table ahead of arch-rivals Real Madrid, there may be no better time for Teerasil to demonstrate his potential.
