Aston Villa second leg 'is our Wembley final' - Bradford chairman

The Bantams' supremo, Mark Lawn, is preparing for a nerve-wracking evening at Villa Park but remains confident that the Bantams can reach the Capital One Cup showpiece
Bradford City joint-chairman Mark Lawn sees his side's Capital One Cup semi-final second leg against Aston Villa as an occasion as big as a "Wembley final".

The Bantams take a 3-1 aggregate lead to Villa Park, having already secured wins over Premier League sides Arsenal and Wigan on their incredible run thus far.

The Gunners and Latics both succumbed to penalty-shootout defeats to Bradford and Lawn is confident that his side will have the nerve to win a 10th consecutive shootout if required on Tuesday.

"My heart says extra time and we'll win on penalties," he told reporters.

"I just know that we're not going to do it the easy way. They'll put me through the wringer and I'm ready for it.

"It's been incredible. You've got to look at where we've come from, where we are in the league. The effort has been amazing.

"It's been beyond our wildest dreams. A very close friend of mine who sat next to me in the first leg said the return at Villa Park is our Wembley final.

"That's the way I'll be approaching it. My head says anything else is a bonus."
