thumbnail Hello,

The 23-year-old impressed while on loan at Pacos Ferreira last season and has reportedly attracted interest of the Primeria Liga giants as he looks to leave Old Trafford

Bebe has welcomed reports linking him with a move to Benfica as he looks to finally leave Manchester United.

The 23-year-old moved to Manchester United in a surprise £7.5 million move from Vitoria de Guimaraes in 2010, with then-manager Sir Alex Ferguson admitting afterwards he had never seen the forward play.

Bebe endured unsuccessful loan stints with Besiktas and Rio Ave, but turned in a number of fine performances for Pacos Ferreira last term, scoring 14 goals in all competitions as Pacos just maintained their Primeira Liga status.

After a string of eye-catching performances has seen Benfica linked with interest and Bebe is keen for the move to happen but admits he is in the dark over any possible switch.

He told Antena 1: "I think it would be a good opportunity for me. For now I will wait for my agent to resolve it. He will certainly know better than I do whether it's true or not.

"Of course it would be a great opportunity for me. Maybe I could play more and they could rely on me more. I think it would be a unique opportunity."
