The Switzerland national team coach has urged the winger to keep on fighting at the Allianz Arena after reported interest from the likes of Liverpool and Manchester United
The winger's agent - and brother - Erdin recently suggested that Shaqiri would be open to a summer move if a club like Inter, Manchester United or Liverpool would make a move for the 22-year-old, thus fuelling speculation about his future.
Shaqiri himself exclusively told Goal that he was flattered by the reported interest from Brendan Rodgers's side, although his national team manager Hitzfeld has urged him to resist a transfer.
"I am always in favour of fulfilling your contract and fighting for your place," Hitzfeld told TZ.
"Xherdan currently plays for the best club in the world and has the ability to secure regular first team action.
"He should remain patient."
Shaqiri, who has a contract with Bayern until 2016, has netted five goals in 15 Bundesliga appearances so far this term.
