The Premier League runners-up are set to bid £20 million for the striker, who admits he may have to leave the Liga side as his ambitions are not currently being met

Alvaro Negredo has declared he is at a "decisive moment" as he contemplates a switch from the Liga side to Manchester City.

Goal exclusively revealed on Thursday that the Premier League runners-up have received the green light to complete a £20 million move for the striker after the Spanish side confirmed the signing of Carlos Bacca from Club Brugge.

The 27-year-old is believed to be happy in Spain, but he has admitted that Sevilla's recent lack of success could prompt a move to England.

"Right now, I'm at Seville and like it very much," Negredo told reporters.

"If I stay that'll be fine but if I leave then it will be because it benefits both the club and myself.

"I'm happy on a personal level - but collectively we have not achieved the goals we wanted.

"Now perhaps I am at a decisive moment for my future."

As well as Negredo, City are also closing in on Fiorentina attacker Stevan Jovetic after missing out on first-choice targets Isco to Real Madrid and Edinson Cavani, who is close to joining Paris Saint-Germain.
