The midfielder believes that the Ivorian's potential arrival at the Liberty Stadium for a club-record fee shows just how the Premier League outfit are growing in stature
The Vitesse striker's agent confirmed on Monday that there are "a few details" left to resolve before the Ivory Coast international can become the Swans' most expensive ever recruit.
With 31 goals in 30 Eredivisie matches over 2012-13, Britton believes that a player of Bony's calibre shows the Swans are moving in the right direction.

"I think it's important to keep trying to improve and keep adding to the squad. The better the players we get, the higher we will finish up the table.
"The club needs to progress. It's hard to keep bettering the year before but we finished ninth and won the Capital One Cup. It's hard to get ahead of the teams that are always going to be one to seven — you could pick them every year.
"If you have a good year, you can finish ninth, like we did, or you could have a bad year and find yourselves in the bottom three."
If confirmed, Bony would become Michael Laudrup's seventh signing of the summer, following Jose Canas, Jordi Amat, Alejandro Pozuelo, Gregor Zabret, Alex Gogic and Jonjo Shelvey.
