Borussia Monchengladbach goalkeeper Marc-Andre Ter Stegen will not leave the club for Barcelona anytime soon, sporting director Max Eberl has insisted.
The shot-stopper has long been linked with a move to Catalunya, with rumours intensifying after Victor Vales' announcement that he would not sign a new contract at Camp Nou but Eberl is adamant the 21-year-old will not leave die Fohlen this summer.
"He will play for Gladbach next season," the 39-year-old told Kicker.
"Marc has declared that himself, and his agent did so as well. It doesn't get more clear than that.
"I am very annoyed by these ongoing speculations."
Eberl went on to say that the Germany international's talent makes links with some of Europe's top club's inevitable.
"Ter Stegen is one of the most talented goalkeepers on the continent, so of course big clubs are interested in signing him."
The Monchengladbach-born star's contract at Borussia Park expires in 2015.
