Honda wants summer move amid AC Milan rumours

The Japan international playmaker is continually being linked with a transfer to a bigger club and he feels ready to make the next step in his career development
CSKA Moscow star Keisuke Honda believes that he is ready for the next step in his career amid reports linking him with a move to AC Milan this summer.

The San Siro side are keen to add some more creativity to their squad ahead of the 2013-14 campaign and, according to reports, they see the 27-year-old playmaker as a valuable addition to their midfield.

"I don't know where I'll be taking the next step yet but I know I've got a chance to play for a big club," Honda was quoted as saying by Japan Times. "I have until August so I'll wait and see.

"If I go to a big club, I'll become an infinitely better player. The improvement I'll make then will be anything but minor.

"I'm the type to soak up everything and anything in my surroundings and, if I play with better players, I'll get better. It's how I've been able to get this far in my career."

Honda's current contract with CSKA runs until December 2013.
