Barcelona goalkeeper Victor Valdes is expected to announce his departure from the club on Friday at a press conference.

The shot-stopper, 31, has been with the Blaugrana since his youth and is set to end an 18-year affiliation with the club as rumours abound that he and Radamel Falcao will follow Porto pair Joao Moutinho and James Rodriguez to Monaco.

"Tomorrow [Friday] at 11am [CET] I have decided that I will appear before the media in the press room at Camp Nou. Greetings to all," he posted on his official social media outlets.

It is expected that Valdes will not be answering questions but just reading a pre-prepared statement.

The keeper revealed early in 2013 that he had no intention to renew his current deal at Camp Nou - which runs out in 2014 - prompting Barcelona's decision to look for suitors for their No.1, as well as a replacement for next season.

Valdes, who will likely feature in Barca's final game of the season against Malaga on Saturday, has been included in Spain's squad for the Confederations Cup in June, along with Liverpool's Pepe Reina and Real Madrid's Iker Casillas.

Two further press conferences will be held later on Friday by the new Spanish champions - one with injured skipper Carles Puyol and one with head coach Tito Vilanova.
