Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis has revealed that he is only prepared to wait four more days for Walter Mazzarri to decide his future.
The Partenopei coach has been incessantly linked with both Inter and Roma in recent months and his boss freely admits that he has grown tired of the constant speculation.
Indeed, De Laurentiis wants the Tuscan trainer to confirm whether he is staying at the San Paolo before the end of the week.
"Mazzarri is a great coach that I would have liked to continue with," the former film producer is quoted as saying by Tuttosport. "But if he has decided to go to Roma, who are not in good shape, I can neither stop him nor restrain him.
"I will wait for him for four more days and will remind him that one who leaves does not know what he is going to find ..."
De Laurentiis is also hoping that star striker Edinson Cavani will still be in Naples next season, but acknowledges that the Uruguyan's future is out of his hands.
"Cavani has a buyout clause," he told Napolimagazine. "If someone comes to pay that clause, and the destination is okay with the player, then I cannot say no because contracts are contracts. We are good people and we respect them.
"But you should worry about neither Cavani nor Mazzarri. You should worry only about whether Mr Aurelio De Laurentiis leaves.
"But there is no need to be concerned about this, because I love Napoli."
Napoli go into the final game of their Serie A campaign, away to Roma on Sunday, having already secured second place, and the automatic Champions League place that comes with it.
