The 27-year-old was set to join Nottingham Forest during the January transfer window, only for a failed eye test to force the switch to collapse.
And Boyd has now set his sights on promotion with the Championship's second-placed side, praising the football that Tigers boss Steve Bruce has implemented.

"I got the call on Wednesday and I have to thank the Peterborough chairman because he didn't want me to go but in the end he gave his consent.
"They play football the right way here and they have a great chance of going up."
Boyd is eligable to his make debut for Hull in the trip to Bolton on Saturday.
